FAQ Entries
Are you registered?
Yes — ShorebreakPals Australian Cobberdogs is registered with the MDBA (#22528) and Qld Gov.
Do you breed therapy dogs?
Our breeding and puppy-raising program is designed to support calm, stable traits often needed for therapy and emotional support settings, and I have therapy training. Not every puppy will be suited to therapy work, but we focus strongly on temperament and early development and are happy to discuss suitability with families seeking therapy prospects.
Do you have puppies available now?
As a boutique breeder we do not regularly have puppies available immediately. Most families join our waiting list prior to litters. Please apply to enquire about upcoming availability.
Are your dogs from established Cobberdog lines?
Yes. Our girls come from Ridgy Didge Australian Cobberdogs, a respected program known for producing exceptional dogs with strong temperament and trainability. I have been mentored by Robyn for over three years and continue to work closely with Ridgy Didge as ShorebreakPals grows, supporting best practice and ongoing improvement in our breeding program.
Are Cobberdogs hypoallergenic?
No dog is 100% hypoallergenic, however Cobberdogs often have low-shedding coats and are popular with allergy-sensitive families. Coat type varies and we are happy to discuss suitability.
How much grooming do they need?
Cobberdogs require regular brushing and professional grooming. We provide coat guidance and begin gentle grooming exposure early to support a positive experience.
What support do you provide after adoption?
We provide ongoing guidance and support for the lifetime of your dog. ShorebreakPals families are never alone — we’re here for questions, routines, and advice.
